Outdoor systems
Stationary units (single-point systems)
The outdoor units can be delivered either as cabinet model or as a T-system. The supply and waste disposal systems fill up water containers on railway vehicles and draw, by means of vacuum technology, the toilet waste water out of the septic tank on the train.
Cabinet unit (WaVa3)
The tried and true cabinet unit WAVA 3 is the most compact single-cabinet solution for supply and waste disposal of trains in interregional and local transport. WaVa 3 is one of the modular waste disposal systems in the Wagemann systems range. The fixed unit WaVa 3 can be installed either as a single-point solution, or as a control unit with satellite units. Control of the cabinet units linked to one another is centralized via the system. These cabinet units not only look like a single cabinet system, every single fixed unit is approved by German Railways Authority EBA. In all WaVa units, supply of drinking water and suction of waste water are stringently separated. All – or some of the units – depending on the local requirements – are equipped with a vacuum system for removal of waste water from the trains.
The stationary unit WaVa 3 consists of three main components:
- An equipment facility with pump and controls. Pump and controls can also supply several satellite units with vacuum. The equipment facility can also be operated from every satellite unit. Choppers, flow meters and an access system and several other things, too, can be integrated in the unit as required.
- A drinking water unit with a drinking water system, a drinking water pipe and a drinking water pipe coupling, all in compliance with the regulations of the German Railways Authority EBA and norm DIN EN 1717. Measuring units, electromagnetic valves, components for separating the unit from drinking water can all be added on as required. To prevent contamination, an optional control unit ensures with the open Wagemann system that drinking water pipe and drinking water rinsing appliances are automatically rinsed through before use.
- A waste water unit, with a vacuum pipe/pressure pipe for suction of waste water, a waste water pipe coupling, a – to fit the waste water connections on the trains and direct access to the sewer system. The waste water unit can be equipped if necessary with an automatic rinsing facility.
In modern trains, the pipe system and the tank system are rinsed every time suction occurs. This means the WC is more quickly ready for use and significantly enhances the functionality of the WC systems on the train. This cleaning can be completed with the aid of our tank rinsing system in one single process, with suction. The Wagemann rinsing system is designed to comply with norm DIN EN 1717.
The rinsing facility is available with a range of different functionalities, which can be installed singly and separately from one another: rinsing of piping and waste water tank on the train and rinsing of suction pipe and pump in the fixed unit. In modern trains, rinsing of the waste water tank in the vehicle takes place every time suction occurs. The Wagemann rinsing facility fulfils category 5 of norm DIN EN 1717 and enables the train’s tank to be rinsed in one single process by means of suction.
Every fixed unit, WaVa 1, 2 and 3 is fitted with an automatic, user-friendly door system. The door system ensures that only either the drinking water chamber or the waste water chamber can be used. The system locks the doors reciprocally against each other. Thus it is guaranteed that supply and waste disposal can only occur separately.
T-System (WAVA 4)
The Wagemann T system (WAVA 4), which we have manufactured since 1998, is used as a single-point system or in large interior cleaning systems. The T systems can be operated with single pump systems or connected to a vacuum network with a vacuum station. The systems are approved by German Railway Authority (EBA).
In the case of the large-scale systems, the T system is connected to the central pump station via a vacuum piping system. The T systems can also be equipped with a tank rinsing pipe.
The T system is equipped with a drinking water pipe set. The pipe with the coupling hangs from a retreat system, which is integrated in the mast. The coupling is hung up after use in a specially designed holder which is protected from environmental influences.
The system assures that only either the waste water pipe or the drinking water set can be used at any one time. This is achieved thanks to an intelligent sealing system: a drinking water unit with drinking water pipe and drinking water pipe coupling – all in compliance with the regulations of German Railways Authority EBA and norm DIN EN 1717. Measuring units, electromagnetic valves, and components for separating the unit from drinking water can all be added on as required. To prevent contamination, an optional control unit ensures with the open Wagemann system that drinking water pipe and drinking water rinsing appliances are automatically rinsed through before use.
The waste water unit can be equipped if necessary with an automatic rinsing facility. In modern trains, the pipe system and the tank system are rinsed every time suction occurs. This means the WC is ready for use more quickly and significantly enhances the functionality of the WC systems on the train. The rinsing facility is available with a range of different functionalities, which can be installed singly and separately from one another. Rinsing of piping and waste water tank on the train and rinsing of suction pipe and pump in the fixed unit. In modern trains, rinsing of the waste water tank in the vehicle takes place every time suction occurs. The Wagemann rinsing facility fulfils norm DIN EN 1717 and enables the train’s tank to be rinsed in one single process by means of suction.
